Combatmission ist a turnsized-realtime hybrid strategy game. Until now there a three parts. "Beyond Overlord", "Barbarossa to Berlin" and "Afrika Corps". The game simulates tactical warfare with hundreds of unit types.

Players give orders in a turn-based fashion, and then these orders are simultaneously executed for 60 seconds of real time action. Then the next orders phase begins. A typical scenario lasts about 20-60 turns, or 20-60 minutes of simulated combat but this can be adjusted by the player."
The game ist playable against the AI, Pbem (Email), Tcip and hotseat. Its my favourite WW2 game.

Hidden and Dangerous simulates squadsized combat in WW2 behind enemy lines on allied side. There are two parts: Hidden&Dangerous and Hidden&Dangerous2.

Hearts of Iron is a realtime strategy game. The game simulates the whole world and all nations are playable. The player can replay the second world war and can influence diplomatic, economic and military options. The game is playable against the Ai and versus human players in tcpip. Hearts of iron 2 adds more scenarios and many many new features.

Il2 Sturmovik is a Flightsimulator. It simulates the war on the Eastern Front. You can choose between lots of flyable Aircrafts like the Me109 or the Il2. The campaigns are partial dynamic, but (sadly) the main focus is on Multiplayer. The AI has serous flaws and the campaign is miles away from the Falcon4 dynamic campaign system. But anyway, Il2 is a great game and perfect for the people (like me) who are bored by the mass of "Normandy-Games". I love to fly the Russian planes over Leningrad Kursk and Moscow.
